Manual Transmissions

Enhanced equipment productivity and reduced operating costs are essential for today's medium-duty truck operators. With double synchronization in the first four gears and hydraulic clutch actuation, dependable MBT manual transmissions make shifting easy. These innovative and versatile 6-speed manual transmissions are capable of handling 40,000 to 60,000 lbs GCVW, and 520 to 660 lb-ft of maximum input torque, making them able to meet nearly any on-highway use.

Clutch actuation

The MB Manual Transmission features a hydraulic central clutch release system with maintenance-free and smooth clutch actuation.

Easy Shifting Our Transmissions are fully synchronized and offer low shift effort through all gears by using double-cone synchronizers from 1st to 4th gear and single-cone synchronizers in 5th and 6th gear.

Lighter Weight

Both manual and automated MBT transmissions feature lightweight aluminum alloy housing with integrated bell housing. This reduction in transmission weight means increased payloads, while maintaining the highest level of durability.

PTO Power and Configuration

SAE 6-bolt PTO ports are standard on all MBT transmissions, offering a wide range of torque and horsepower levels. Configured conveniently on the right side, the 5 o'clock location avoids interference with exhaust systems.

Quieter Operation

Larger gears with helical gear faces guarantee quiet operation, which leads to improve driver and owner satisfaction.

Sealed Bearings and Heat-Treated Gears and Shafts

The special sealed bearings and heat-treated gears and shafts on MBT transmissions increase durability to withstand the rigorous trucking environment, and keep debris from damaging the transmission.

Pedal Comfort

MB manual transmissions use a 395 mm x-tend push type clutch with cushion springs. This self adjusted clutch system with noise reduction at drive off leads to increase safety control and comforts.

Increased Fuel Efficiency

Our innovative design reduces internal power losses ensuring efficient power transfer to the rear axle. That means better fuel economy both on-highway and in-city.

Startability

The startability of the Manual transmission is 16 or higher.
