Optimized Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR)
The MBE 900 takes super-heated exhaust and sends it back through the engine, where it's water-cooled and routed back to the intake manifold. Then, the Aftertreatment System's filtration process cleans the exhaust before re-entry into the atmosphere.
Precise Engine Control
Staying on top of things at all times is a given with advanced DDEC® VI electronic controls, the newest version of Detroit Diesel's breakthrough monitoring and management technology. Using sophisticated diagnostics and analytics, the DDEC® VI system monitors and reports any changes in your rig's operation so you can react quickly and confidently.
Fueled by Innovation
The SMART Fuel System knows what all drivers look for — better performance and improved fuel economy. And it delivers with DDEC® VI-controlled high-pressure solenoid injectors capable of multiple injections per combustion cycle. Translation: improved performance and perfect fuel control, not to mention reduced engine noise.
Harder-Working Parts
The MBE 900 comes equipped with a multi-functional fuel-filter that features two filtration stages: a fuel priming valve and a fuel-water separator, all contained in a single, standard assembly. Because smarter parts should tackle more than one job.
Smooth Acceleration
With available ratings up to 250 HP/660 lb-ft., the MBE 900 has plenty of power to satisfy most medium-duty applications. And the high-torque rise architecture is perfectly suited to gear-fast/run-slow powertrain matching, optimizing fuel economy.
The Power to Stop
Nothing gives you peace of mind like reliable braking — and the MBE 900 can be equipped with two optional engine brakes. The exhaust brake option provides up to 140 BHP, while the exhaust/compression brake combination delivers best-in-class 180 BHP.
